Happy Folding!

I found this great technique on folding fabrics on Crazy Mom Quilts and she linked it to Happy Zombie....so thanks amandajean and Monica! Now I have some work cut out for me....I will have to post some before and after pictures...this is a definite MUST do :o)Look how beautiful the fabric is when folded and stacked nicely! These pretty fabrics belong to Crazy Mom Quilts...eye candy :o)

Okay - so this is my mission impossible....Now that I have embarrassed myself, perhaps this will give me the incentive to get it done because I love the after pictures of these gals! Wish me luck!

It's Music to my Ears and Tastebuds!

I had to do a second look at this ipod! U Create found this cutest Valentine gift!
A box of conversation hearts and two mini peanut butter cups in disguise hit all the right notes for a tune-loving babysitter or friend!

Here is the pdf for you to use. This was found at Family Fun. (love that magazine!)

A keeper for Jennifer

This gal found this idea on this gals blog for this great idea of what to do with an old dresser with no drawers. It's a very cute and great idea!
This jar is like candy for the eyes!

How does your garden grow?

This gal always has such fun ideas. Here is another one she found.
These are such cute Valentines for kids to make and take to school....I may even give a few! Here is the flower pattern and here is the leaf pattern.

Boutique Bottoms

I have seen these on some blogs, but haven't been real crazy for them and then I saw these and I really thought they were cute. Fabric choice and length make a difference. May have to try these...good thing I have 5 little grand-daughters....surely one of them would be brave enough to be a leader in fashion! Here is the pattern.

Installing a Magnetic Snap

I am posting this because I know I will want to add some of these snaps to future projects. This is a great tutorial! Here is the link that she said she buys her snaps from.

Love this fabric....

I just found this gal and she has got some very nice fabric. It's very fun and chic! She's doing a give away now too!
I'm always on the look out for fun, new fabric that I haven't seen.

My First Award!

My very first award!! The Lemonade Award!! Not exactly sure what the Lemonade Award is, but since I love Lemonade it must be the best award Ever!! I was given this award a couple weeks ago and I am just now getting to announcing it! I'm soooo excited! I'm so tickled to think that someone actually thinks my posts are noteworthy. Aimee from Home Spun Threads gave me the award.

Thanks Aimee for the award; now...I'm supposed to give it back to ten others.

Okay so I should post the rules I suppose...
#1 You must link back to the person you received the award from.

#2 You have to nominate 10 bloggers who are deserving of this award!
So, it was really hard to narrow down my favorites because I have so many. No particular order, I promise.

  1. Jennifer (daughter)@ Savage Family
  2. Molly (friend)@ As Told by Molly
  3. Kari @ youcanmakeit
  4. AmandaJean @ Crazy Mom Quilts
  5. Deon (friend) @ waitalittlewhile
  6. laniejane @ laniejane
  7. Camille @ simplify
  8. Nettie @ aquiltisnice

  10. Betz @ betz white

Now I get to email these gals! Thanks for the Award!!

Coloring Books & Crayons Tote

I have made bags for kids before that hold books and crayons, but this is a very cute bag. I love the ruffle. This site also has patterns for ALL kinds of things!I will have to remember this for little granddaughters!

Birdie Sling Bag

I have seen other patterns by Amy Butler, but this one caught my eye. I have seen a couple women make them and found a rating about it here. This gal made them for gifts (lucky friends!).

Melly & Me

This gal made these as Christmas gifts and I thought they were so cute. So I found the website of Melly & Me and found some other cute patterns they produce.
There is a link on their site where their patterns can be purchased. I just didn't want to loose this idea!

Re-cycled sweaters

Did mention my interest in making things from old wool sweaters? I like what this lady did with her old sweater. It's very pretty. She has a couple more pictures showing additional hats and a picture of her pattern. She references this lady's site also.

Modular Bookshelf

Some people are just sooo creative! Take a look at what this gal did with these old drawers.I saw this 'after' picture first and then saw the drawers second and had to do a double take! Wow! Had NO idea that they weren't a set of shelves made of boxes or something similar.

If I'd known you were coming I would have stitched a cake!

Felt Food! I've been interested in Felt lately for some odd reason and this one caught my eye. I never would have thought of felt food for kids and this is definitely food for thought (pun intended!). With 5 grand-daughters so far, this might come in handy! Way cute!

Eazy Fizzy Bath Bombs

Now this is the BOMB! (Bad I know!) But really, this looks like fun and it does look like a quick and easy gift. Plus did I say that I know I will feel like a real Chemist doing this??
Publish Post

Flowers anyone?

I saw these cute fabric flowers and at first thought they were cute but decided I probably wouldn't make them. But then later that night I could see all kinds of potential!.......baby hairbands, girls camp craft. So I came back and found them before I lost them! (You know that's why I started this so I wouldn't loose things again!) The tutorial for making these are here.

Here is another idea using silk flowers and buttons with the fabric.

She has a very cute etsy shop which include these cute items also:
